Georgia CASA State Conference 2008

The Georgia CASA State Conference, Continuing the Journey, Celebrating 20 Years of CASA in Georgia, will take place on Saturday, April 26 at the Cobb Galleria Centre. This page will have updated conference information as it becomes available, so please check back from time-to-time for updates.

Keynote Speaker
Michael Piraino, CEO, The National CASA Association

Michael Piraino has been Chief Executive Officer of The National CASA Association in Seattle, WA, since 1994. He holds law degrees from Cornell Law School and Oxford University, has represented children as a guardian ad litem and has been a consultant to international social service and child advocacy organizations in Europe and Southeast Asia. Mr. Piraino has also authored and co-authored several publications and is a frequent speaker and presenter at symposia on children.

Registration

$25 - CASA volunteers, board members and staff by April 11
$35 - CASA volunteers, board members and staff after April 11
$50 - Non-CASA affiliated participants

Registration for the 2008 Conference is now closed.

Hotel

The recommended hotel for conference attendees who wish to stay overnight is the Sheraton Suites Galleria (adjacent to the conference site at 2844 Cobb Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30339). To book your hotel room online, go to: Sheraton Suites Galleria or call 800-325-3535 and mention the Georgia CASA State Conference. Be sure to make your reservation by April 2nd to receive the $99 CASA rate. (Higher rates may apply for more than 2 occupants in a suite.)

For directions to the Cobb Galleria Centre, go to: Cobb Galleria Centre Directions.
When making your travel plans, please note that there is weekend construction on several highways, including I-75. Please visit www.georgia-navigator.com or call 511 for updated highway information. When arriving at the Galleria via Cobb Parkway, turn onto Galleria Drive (not Galleria Parkway).
