Red Shoe Party

Join us on August 26 from 6:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. for Appalachian CASA’s Red Shoe Party!

Appalachian CASA’s Red Shoe Party is reminiscent of the American classic The Wizard of Oz. The event is casual attire, and guests are encouraged to wear red shoes. The color red is a symbol of a safe home for the children who will benefit from the funds raised throughout the evening.

Dorothy’s journey through Oz can be compared with that of a child’s life – a child who faces an uncertain fate. In The Wizard of Oz, the characters of Tin Man, Scarecrow, and the Cowardly Lion each play a role in getting Dorothy home safely. Similarly, CASA helps ensure that the determination of where that home will be is in the best interest of the child.

We will be holding a Red Shoe Contest. There will be three categories including sportiest, most glamorous, and most creative. Prizes will be awarded for each category.

The evening will include great music, dining, and a silent auction.
