Get Involved: Volunteers
CASA volunteers are deeply committed and specially trained to advocate for each child’s best interest and how to get those interests met by the child welfare system. They advocate against all odds, power and bureaucracy; advocate until each child can understand and speak up for his or her unalienable rights; and advocate so children can live a life of destiny, rather than fate. CASA volunteers bring urgency to a child’s needs, both in and out of the courtroom, and promote safety, permanency and well-being through independent recommendations.
Without volunteers, CASA programs could not exist. Each affiliate CASA program recruits, screens, trains and supervises volunteers from the local community. Are you wondering how you can become a CASA volunteer? Are you a current CASA volunteer looking for information to share with potential volunteers? Check out this flyer about a CASA volunteer’s role and purpose and read about a CASA volunteer.
If you are interested in becoming a CASA volunteer, please complete the Volunteer Inquiry Form to be connected to an affiliate CASA program.
